Thomas L. Eckert

Mr. Eckert attended the University of Pennsylvania Law School and graduated in 1972. His experience began in 1972-1980 during which time he was involved with both government prosecution and private sector. He then served as Deputy Commonwealth's Attorney in Lynchburg, Virginia from 1980-1990.
Mr. Eckert joined the United States Attorney's Office for the Western District of Virginia in 1990. He worked in the Criminal Division from 1990-1999 primarily handling white collar crime, fraud, and criminal tax. Presently, Mr. Eckert is operating out of the Civil Division doing primarily bankruptcy, collection of criminal restitution, fines and civil debts owed to the government, and Federal Tort Claims Act defense.
