Craig J. Jacobsen

Mr. Jacobsen graduated with honors in 1984 with a B.A. Degree in Political Science from the University of California, at Berkeley. He received his J.D. Degree in May of 1988 from the Santa Clara University, School of Law, in Santa Clara, California.

In 1988 he began his career as an Associate Litigation Attorney at the Law Firm of Ropers, Majeski, Kohn & Bentley in San Francisco, California specializing in products liability, commercial litigation and personal injury defense. He then joined the San Francisco District Attorneys Office in 1991 as an Assistant District Attorney emphasizing in all phases of criminal prosecutions.

From 1995-1999, Mr. Jacobsen served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Criminal Division, Major Crimes Unit for the United States Attorney's Office, Northern District of California, San Francisco. He specialized in prosecution of Violent and Economic Crimes and was the AUSA in charge of Child Abduction and Domestic Terrorism Task Forces. He then transferred to the United States Attorney's Office, Western District of Virginia in 1999 and is currently responsible for coordinating complex investigations and prosecutions with Federal and State law enforcement agencies focusing on Organized Crime, Drug Trafficking and various violent offenders.
