Erik C. Peterson
Erik C. Peterson, 37, was appointed United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin by President George W. Bush. He was sworn in on June 6, 2006. In this capacity, he serves as the Chief federal law enforcement official for the westernmost 44 counties in Wisconsin.
Peterson most recently served as the Iowa County District Attorney from 1999-2006, where he was elected four times. He began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in Richland County, where he served from 1995-1999. Peterson received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Drake University in 1992. He received a Juris Doctor degree from Marquette University in 1995.
Peterson is single and resides in Dane County.
