The Financial Services, Fintech, and Banking Section (FFB) is responsible for the enforcement of the antitrust laws, competition advocacy, and competition policy in the financial, banking, real estate, ticket distribution, and publishing industries, including

  • Financial services
  • Securities industries
  • Credit cards
  • Debit cards
  • Banking
  • Insurance (health insurance matters are handled by the Healthcare and Consumer Products Section)
  • Real estate services
  • Printing
  • Book and journal publishing
  • Advertising agencies
  • Concert and event promotion and venues

Federal and State Contacts

Financial services, securities, banking and other matters: FFB has developed ongoing relationships with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Federal Reserve Board, Commodities Futures Trading Commission, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Real estate: FFB often works closely with the relevant state attorneys general, state legislatures, real estate boards, industry trade groups, and the Federal Trade Commission.
