Benjamin Klein is Professor Emeritus of Economics at UCLA and Director at LECG.

Professor Klein is an internationally recognized expert on antitrust economics. A Professor of Economics at UCLA for 34 years, he has taught at the Economics Institute for Federal Judges and has served as a consultant to the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. Professor Klein has published widely on antitrust, contract and intellectual property issues and currently serves on the Board of Editors of five academic journals, including the Supreme Court Economic Review and the Antitrust Law Journal. Over the past 25 years he has consulted extensively on antitrust issues and has made numerous presentations to state, federal and foreign regulatory agencies and courts.

Professor Klein received a B.A. in 1964 from the City University of New York and an M.A. in 1966 and Ph.D. in 1970 from the University of Chicago. He has held visiting appointments at the University of Washington, the National Bureau of Economic Research and the University of Chicago Law School.
