DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE ANNOUNCES EVENTS COMMEMORATING CRIME VICTIMS’ RIGHTS WEEK


WASHINGTON, DC - The U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs (OJP) will sponsor events to remember victims of crimes and to honor those who advocate on behalf of crime victims, on Thursday And Friday, April 7-8, 2005. This year marks the 25th observance of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.

Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales will join other DOJ officials and victim-advocate Trisha Meili at the National Observance and Candlelight Ceremony on Thursday, April 7 at 6:30 P.M. EDT.
