According to the New Hampshire Information & Analysis Center (NHIAC), as of December 5, 2019, there were 252 confirmed drug overdose deaths, and there are 80 cases pending toxicology, for 2019. There were 471 confirmed overdose deaths in New Hampshire in 2018. For the last three years there have been more than 400 drug overdose deaths in New Hampshire. The vast majority of these deaths involve fentanyl or a combination of fentanyl and another drug.
The death toll would likely be more but for the use of Narcan. From 2016 through 2018, Narcan was administered, on average, more than 2,200 times and 1,000 times through June 2019 according to the New Hampshire Bureau of Emergency Medical Services (EMS). The age group with the largest number of opioid related emergency room visits is 30-39 which represented 35% of all opioid related emergency room visits for November 2019.

Our Goal: #CrimeFreeNH is an awareness campaign designed to inform the public about the dangers and consequences of buying a firearm for someone who cannot legally own a firearm, especially drug dealers. Drugs and firearms are a lethal combination.
Dealing and selling firearms is a regulated industry. When an individual purchases a firearm from a federally licensed firearms dealer, that individual must complete ATF Form 4473 to prevent ineligible people from possessing firearms. ATF Form 4473 is the first step in the process of insuring the safety of the public. The illegal purchase of firearms poses a serious safety risk that those firearms will end up in the hands of people who cannot legally possess them and who are likely to use the firearms to commit crime. ATF Form 4473 is designed to prevent those safety risks but the form only succeeds if the firearm purchaser is truthful. Help us protect the citizens of New Hampshire by stopping the transfer of firearms to prohibited people, especially drug dealers.
