Operation Summer Ice Nets Multi-State Methamphetamine Conspirators

U.S. Attorney A. Lee Bentley, III joined local and federal law enforcement agencies to announce “Operation Summer Ice,” a year-long investigation resulting in five federal arrests.  The individuals were each charged with conspiracy to distribute multiple quantities of pure/actual crystal methamphetamine. The investigation revealed that the drugs were acquired and distributed across state lines, including Georgia and Florida, and were distributed from an apartment in Macclenny, Baker County, Florida. Law enforcement officers with the Baker County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration seized approximately 204.7 grams of methamphetamine, some of which was deemed to be highly pure.
