Lauren Alder Reid

Lauren Alder Reid was appointed as the Assistant Director, Office of Policy, Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), in August 2018. Mrs. Alder Reid received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2001 from Denison University and a Juris Doctor in 2004 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. From December 2017 to August 2018, she served as the chief of EOIR’s Immigration Law Division. From August 2009 to December 2017, she served as the chief & counsel of EOIR, Communications and Legislative Affairs Division. From October 2007 to August 2009, she served as an attorney advisor at the Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Legislative Affairs. From September 2006 to October 2007, she served as an assistant general counsel at the U.S. Sentencing Commission. From December 2005 to September 2006, she worked at Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Air and Marine. From September 2004 to December 2005, she served as a presidential management fellow with DOJ, Drug Enforcement Administration. Mrs. Alder Reid is a member of the Maryland State and Supreme Court of the United States Bars.
