On September 16, 2013, Ms. Sylvia M. Becker was sworn in as a part-time Commissioner of the Foreign Claims Settlement Commission. She was nominated for the position by President Obama on September 19, 2012, and confirmed by the Senate on June 27, 2013.

On June 4, 2018, Mr. Patrick Hovakimian was sworn in as a part-time Commissioner of the Foreign Claims Settlement Commission. He was nominated for the position by President Trump on February 5, 2018, and confirmed by the Senate on May 10, 2018.
