Project Safe Neighborhoods

Project Safe Neighborhoods is a nationwide initiative that brings together federal, state, local and tribal law enforcement officials, along with prosecutors and community leaders, to identify the most pressing violent crime problems in a community and to develop comprehensive solutions and devoting resources to address them.

The goal of PSN is to reduce violent crime and to make every community safer—especially the communities hardest hit by violent crime.  Sustained success requires a comprehensive approach, and USAO-EDNY is working alongside local partners and members of the community to prevent and deter violent crime and to help reduce recidivism.  USAO-EDNY is committed to using all available tools to fight against violent crime.
