Office of Information Technology

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) oversees EOIR's information technology (IT) infrastructure, working to supply the IT solutions and services required to meet the agency's technology needs. OIT is comprised of four directorates tailored to efficiently and effectively execute IT strategy, hardware and software optimization, and customized application development using defined processes:

  • Governance, Planning, and Support

Meet the Chief Information Officer

Joshua M. Lashbrook

Joshua M. Lashbrook was appointed as EOIR’s Chief Information Officer in March 2024. Mr. Lashbrook earned a Bachelor of Science from Excelsior College, a Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act Level III Certification in Program Management from the Defense Acquisition University, and a Level II certification in IT Acquisition. He also earned an Associate of Science in Personnel Administration from the Community College of the Air Force. Immediately prior to joining EOIR, Mr. Lashbrook was the Division Chief, Division of Education Technology Program Operations at the Bureau of Indian Education, Department of Interior. From September 2020 to January 2024, he was the Digital GI Bill Program Management Officer for the Veteran Benefits Administration’s Education Service, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. From December 2018 to September 2020, he served as the Chief of Staff for Stars and Stripes Pacific and was an adviser to the Commander and theater management personnel. From August 2017 to December 2018, he was the Deputy Chief Information Officer for Commander, Navy Region Japan providing governance oversight and program management for telecommunications (terrestrial and radio frequency) infrastructure, enterprise networks, emergency management systems, and cybersecurity management for eight U.S. Navy bases in Japan, Singapore, and the British Island of Diego Garcia. Prior to his assignment with the Navy, from April 2008 to August 2017, he served as the Distribution Modernization Program Manager, Enterprise Data Warehouse Program Manager, and the Chief Technology Officer for the Defense Logistics Agency. Mr. Lashbrook joined the U.S. Air Force in 1991 and served until 2005 both in active duty and the reserves.
