Mission

The Office of Acquisition Management supports the Chief Acquisition Officer and Senior Procurement Executive in managing an efficient acquisition system that implements the requirements of pertinent statutes, regulations and other guidance; promoting effective business practices to achieve public policy objectives; and ensuring that acquisition personnel are properly trained and have a clear understanding of the mission and objectives of Department acquisition management programs.

Bureau Procurement Chiefs

The Department has nine components with the procurement authority to manage the DOJ’s contracting activities.  Procurement activities in each of these components are led by a Bureau Procurement Chief (BPC).
