The Southern District of California is geographically and biologically diverse, covering beaches, mountains,valleys and deserts. San Diego is home to more endangered species than any other county in the United States. This district is also home to diverse cultures, all of whom are entitled to enjoy a clean environment. Protecting our local environmental resources makes our region healthier and stronger, and increases the quality of life for all residents.
Environmental Justice is the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, color, national origin, or income with respect to the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and policies.
